Nestleton Waters Inn is a wedding venue in Durham Region, located about 1 hour east of Toronto in Nestleton Station, Ontario, a community in the township of Scugog. This elegant estate oversees a scenic pond and offers future newlyweds a Durham wedding venue to host both their wedding ceremony and reception. Nestleton Waters Inn has been recognized with awards including The Knot’s Best Weddings Hall of Fame, Port Perry Reader’s Choice 2020 Diamond winner for Best Banquet Facility, and has been featured on prestigious wedding publications including Style Me Pretty and Wedding Bells.
Situated on a 96-acre farm, this estate wedding venue is a family designed, hand-built estate that encompasses 7200 square-ft after having taken 4.5 years to complete with the help of community volunteers! There were unexpected twist and turns, as the original plan was to complete construction within 1 year. The Kiezebrink family live and work at the Inn in a private family area and oversee the inn operations to this day. Their charitable endeavours have given them the opportunity to serve in Asia, Africa, South America, and Nunavut, which is why their themed rooms in the Inn reflect their passion for investing in people of all cultures. Their aim is to reciprocate and share their estate’s hospitality with others.
Here are some things you should know about hosting a Nestleton Waters Inn wedding!
Nestleton Waters Inn offers year-round intimate weddings inside the Inn and from mid-May to mid-October you can host a larger Marquis wedding up to 200 guests in their Marquis Island outdoor tent beside their gorgeous pond.
There is a five-step process to secure your wedding date:
There are two packages in addition to their normal wedding process:
When you host your wedding at Nestleton Waters Inn, you will receive a coordinator and also a RSVP counter, rehearsal, and day of setup/cleanup. Ceremonies had here can accommodate traditional Western weddings, Chinese Tea, East Indian Mandap, and more. Rentals and décor include a Marquis Island tent for your outdoor wedding, an estate lounge, and choice of linens. Know that your wedding is exclusive to you that day, as this wedding venue only hosts one wedding per day.
Included during your wedding is access to the Honeymoon Suite, which is their Mediterranean-themed Cameo Suite with a private balcony overseeing the pond and brunch included. You will have access to their Carriage House to get ready prior to your wedding and for some of your guests to sleep overnight. There are local hotel and bus discounts available for those requiring accommodation off-site.
For the reception portion of your wedding, there are food and drink options available. There is an option for plated food for up to 200 guests, a BBQ/buffet for up to 140 guests, or an interactive food station for up to 100 guests. Prior to your wedding, there will be a complimentary tasting experience with their chef to personalize your wedding food menu and your guests can choose up to 3 entrees as part of your wedding invitation. Always a positive, allergies will be accounted for.
As for drinks, you can choose to bring your own wine (with no corkage fee) at a price of $29/guest. You can also purchase an open bar package for $35/guest or open bar and champagne package for $38/guest. Non-alcoholic drink packages go for $21/guest.
Available add-ons can be selected for your wedding package. They include:
There are available date discounts depending on the day of week/year you decide to host your Nestleton Waters Inn wedding. During the off-season from October to May on any day of the week or from Monday to Thursday during the on-season from May to October, you can expect a $3000 discount to your wedding package. On Sundays throughout the year, expect to save $2000 and $1000 on Fridays.
If you are not set-in stone on your guest list, you have up to 6 weeks prior to your wedding date to add or remove guests.
On your wedding day at Nestleton Waters Inn, you will have the opportunity to take your wedding photographs by the field, scenic pond, or by the estate itself.
